Senior Project Manager
Senior Project Manager will report to Vice President of Construction and Project
Senior Project Manager is responsible for orchestrating the successful execution of projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed within scope, budget, and timeline while meeting quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, and resources needed. Setting clear timelines and milestones for project execution.
- Assembling project teams, assigning tasks, and ensuring effective communication among team members. Providing guidance, direction, and support to keep the team motivated and on track.
- Developing and managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring that the project stays within financial constraints.
- Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. Addressing issues as they arise and adapting the project plan as needed.
- Maintaining open and clear communication with stakeholders, including clients, executives, and team members. Providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Ensuring that project deliverables meet the required quality standards. Conducting reviews and inspections to ensure that the project is on track to meet its objectives.
- Adapting to changes in project scope, goals, or resources. Managing change requests and evaluating their potential impact on the project.
- Keeping thorough records of project activities, decisions, and outcomes. Generating status reports, documentation, and presentations for various stakeholders.
- Managing the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure that the project is adequately supported.
- Addressing conflicts that arise within the project team or with stakeholders. Finding constructive solutions to maintain positive working relationships.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and best practices. Learning from each project to enhance future project management practices.
- Ensuring that the project meets or exceeds client expectations. Managing client relationships and gathering feedback to improve project delivery.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Architect or closely related discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant post education experience in planning, construction and project delivery and infrastructure delivery
- Advanced proficiency with construction and project management principles, practices, process, both tradition and design/build delivery, standard of care, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to manage a large span of control while effectively, persuasively, and tactfully interacting with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic lateral thinking and strong analytical skills with attention to detail and prioritization of responsibilities in a pressure work environment.
- Demonstrate a high level of organizational agility to gain the support and cooperation of executive management, clients, and key stakeholders.
- Strong ability to quickly adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility to a variety of schedules and hours to meet business needs.
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
