Who are we?

How did it all start?

Founded on March 15, 1991, in Surabaya as PT Anglomas International Bank (Amin Bank), the bank was acquired by Tolaram Group and transformed to PT Bank Amar Indonesia (Amar Bank) in 2014. It has then undergone a significant digital transformation to become one of the country’s forerunning fintech institutions through its award-winning digital lending platform, Tunaiku.

Product Researcher that will handle research for dedicated squad. This position will be working closely with the Product Owner and Designer on the Squad. Direct report will be on the respective Lead Researcher on the Tribe. Besides the ability to do end to end research independently, we are also expecting they could help the lead maintain other team members on the team.

A Product Researcher will be responsible for:

  • Lead large research initiatives that involve or impact multiple squad.
  • Plan the research: from the timeline, discussion guidelines, participant/respondent criteria, how to reach respondent/participant, as well as creating a budget plan for the research
  • Do the research: conduct the fieldwork, be adaptive to team needs and participant needs
  • Synthesize the data, create the report, pull out insights not just present the data
  • Follow up: the process don’t stop after report is finished, evangelized it, plan what to do next while still in line with team and company priorities
  • Able to tackle complex project with multiple variables
  • Able to create research initiatives that align with product goal
  • Ensure the efforts of researcher are aligned to the product goals
  • In collaboration with Lead, review the work of researchers, ensure the quality is maintained

The preferred candidate will demonstrate the below key skills and competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in an applied research setting or similar
  • 2 years of experience managing projects and working in a large, matrixed organization,
  • Experience in SPSS, Ms. Excel, or similar data analysis tools
  • Experience in usability testing tools
  • Product research experience in an applied research setting
  • Experience conducting market research
  • Excellent command of research questions within a given domain and of technical tools for the analysis of data within that field
  • Demonstrated expertise in descriptive, inferential, and multivariate statistics, including t-test and ANOVA, and experimental design
