Manufacturing Manager
An expanding multinational company in the plastics recycling industry is seeking a talented Manufacturing Manager for a placement in Central Java. In this newly created job, you will lead a team and be responsible for ensuring that the entire manufacture process runs smoothly.
About The Manufacturing Manager Role
Reporting to the Plant Manager, your will play a key role in achieving the factory’s production target, develop important skills of your team members, and making sure that finished products comply to standard quality regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively plan, develop and review the development of skills acquisition and performance of team members (both direct and indirect workers) including to provide necessary training and coaching through development/learning plan
- Lead by example to motivate, inspire and raise the team engagement in accordance with the company culture
- Efficiently and effectively manage and ensure production planning is properly executed
- Manage, oversee and schedule labour, equipment and material
- Collaborate with production scheduler on the master production schedule according to maintenance needs, short batching, resources availability and other production condition
- Manage and monitor quality, accuracy, and on-time deliveries of all production orders
- Control, monitor and evaluate production process & performance to meet the products and quality standard and as planned
- Manage and ensure autonomous maintenance process and implementation is executed properly and align with maintenance standards and regulations
- Provide direction and support as well as to ensure that all maintenance activities are done and align with the maintenance programme efficiently and effectively while making sure the production activity is uninterrupted
To succeed in the Manufacturing Manager job, you will need to have strong technical manufacture skills, ability to lead and develop team members as well as being knowledgeable in lean manufacturing principles.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of diploma 4/bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, or engineering
- Exposure to recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) or other recycling industry is a plus
- Minimum of seven years’ experience in the FMCG manufacturing
- Decent skills in English both in verbal and writing is highly preferred
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Excellent team building and interpersonal skills
- Technical competencies in manufacturing (e.g., technical drawings, blueprints, CAD/CAM)
