Head of Supply Chain
A leading international supply chain service provider business is seeking a highly driven candidate for a Head of Supply Chain job in Bekasi, Indonesia to support a large, complex business unit with a regional remit.
About The Head Of Supply Chain Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead all supply chain activities and manage big teams in Indonesia. As the Head of Supply Chain, you will be in charge of planning, inventory control, procurement and import activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate the overall supply chain strategy aligned with the organisation’s business goals
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise supply chain processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency
- Lead the demand forecasting and inventory management
- Oversee procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance evaluation
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materials and components
- Mitigate supply chain risks by identifying alternative suppliers and implementing risk management strategies
- Manage appropriate supply and stock with the right product quality to meet the customers’ requirement
- Ensure the customers’ requirements and priorities are fulfilled by managing day-to-day operation execution
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and ethical practices throughout the supply chain
To succeed in this Head of Supply Chain role, you must have the ability to lead effectively and possess a deep understanding of supply chain management, logistics, procurement, and operations, along with exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and team management skills.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience in progressively responsible supply chain roles, with at least 10 years in a leadership position
- Strong knowledge of supply chain best practices, including demand forecasting, inventory management, procurement, logistics, and distribution
- Previous exeperience in FMCG, F&B or Retail industry is an advantage
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of developing and motivating teams
- Ability to adapt to changing business environments and manage the stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Fluency in English
