About The Role
The Head of Sales Strategy (Automotive) will be responsible for shaping and executing sales strategies, optimizing market performance, and ensuring efficient operations.
Sales Analysis and Strategy:
- Conduct comprehensive market and sales analysis on both national and regional levels.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Utilize database management skills (e.g., GAIKINDO, Police registration, DMS) for data-driven insights.
- Implement mystery shopping activities to assess customer experiences.
- Stay updated on daily news relevant to the automotive industry.
Sales Planning And Operations
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Adapt strategies based on the ever-changing economic landscape and market trends.
- Identify and address customer needs and preferences to optimize product offerings.
- Calculate and monitor cost usage for sales planning and operations.
- Coordinate with dealers to ensure wholesale readiness and manage dealer orders for production forecasting.
- Generate ordering reports to facilitate accurate inventory planning.
Dealer Performance Management
- Monitor and report on dealer performance, implementing strategies for improved sales results and processes.
- Collaborate with dealers to achieve optimal sales outcomes.
Import And Distribution Strategies
- Strategise and initiate activities related to import and distribution
- Prepare countermeasures for import challenges and licensing requirements, including homologation for new models.
- Stay abreast of market information and regulations affecting imports.
Sales Program Development
- Develop and implement innovative sales programs to drive growth and customer engagement
- Conduct dealer visits to ensure the smooth execution of sales initiatives.
To be successful in this Head of Sales Strategy (Automotive) position, you will need to have extensive experience in the automotive industry, particularly within Indonesia’s top automotive brands.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Extensive experience in sales strategy within the automotive industry.
- Preferably from top automotive brands in Indonesia (e.g., Mitsubishi, Toyota, Daihatsu, Honda).
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in database management tools.
- Excellent knowledge of Indonesian automotive market trends and regulations.
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
- Effective leadership and communication skills.
- Willingness to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
