About The Head Of Operations (Beauty Retail) Role
In this business critical role you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all operational aspects of the business. You will lead and manage a team, overseeing various operational functions to drive excellence in customer service, inventory management, supply chain logistics, and process optimisation. Your strategic thinking and hands-on approach will contribute to the company’s overall growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive operational strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives
- Collaborate with senior management to set operational goals, KPIs, and performance targets
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within the operations
- Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team across different operational functions, including inventory management, supply chain, logistics, and customer service
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture, ensuring clear communication and alignment with company values
- Oversee inventory planning, procurement, and replenishment to maintain optimal stock levels while minimising carrying costs
- Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate product deliveries
- Implement strategies to reduce stockouts, overstock, and obsolescence
- Manage the distribution network to ensure timely and efficient product deliveries to retail locations or customers’ doorsteps
- Implement processes to handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a timely and effective manner
- Continuously review and refine operational processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall productivity
- Identify automation and technology solutions to streamline operations and improve the customer experience
- Generate regular reports for owner, providing insights into operational performance and recommendations for enhancement
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, sales, and finance, to ensure alignment of operational efforts with broader business strategies
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to address challenges and capitalise on opportunities

Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in operational leadership roles within the retail or beauty industry
- Strong understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and logistics

- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for operations management
