Direct Sales Head is a senior professional position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in an effort to execute against key portfolio strategies in coordination with the Consumer Sales team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of support services to Citi clients and to drive management teams to meet sales targets.
•Overall responsibility for direct sales channel and delivery of country Cards & Loan NTB plan
•Direct management of 5 Field Sales Managers and 1 Roadshow Senior Manager with total team of 230+ staff, including interviewing and hiring through to ongoing performance management, developing and managing retail and professional sales plan strategies for national/territory field execution to deliver business goal
•Responsible for driving efficient deployment strategy for new customer acquisition
•Work closely with cards product and acquisition team for acquisition strategy and process improvement, and ensure successful field execution of credit initiatives
•Coordinate with regional office to work on new initiatives and strategic regional project
•Devise the right referral program to ensure cost effective sourcing strategy
•Analyze weekly and monthly sales reports, understand field performance, and implement action plans to ensure sales objectives are achieved
•Develop and manage cost center budgets and expenses
•Ensure audit readiness and strong controls at all times and secure successful audit result
•Ensure high compliance and regulatory standards as well as high levels of both customer and employee satisfaction
•Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
•Minimum 6-8 years of experience in direct sales for credit cards and lead team of large members of sales team.
•Strong understanding of sales tactics and strategies.
•Strong Managerial Skills
•Excellent organizational and time management skills.
•Ability to position products against competitors
•Preferable from Banking for Financial institution background
