About The Data Scientist Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide data modelling, mining, pattern analysis, data visualisation and machine learning/deep learning/artificial intelligence solutions
• Design accurate and scalable prediction algorithms
• Use advanced mathematical models, simulation models, machine learning algorithms, operations research techniques, and strong business acumen to deliver insight, recommendations, and solutions
• Work with data engineers and data analyst to analyse, extract, normalise, and label relevant data
• Collaborate with software engineering and IoT engineering team to bring analytical prototypes to production
• Generate actionable insights for business improvement

To succeed in this Data Scientist role, you must have a combination of strong technical skills and leadership experience.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
• Three or more years of experience in quantitative analytics or data modelling
• Deep understanding of predictive modelling, machine learning, clustering and classification techniques, and algorithms
• Proficient in SQL and experience working with statistical computer languages (R, Python, etc.)
• Experience in machine learning framework (Scikit-Learn, Pandas, MlLib Spark, Tensorflow, etc.)
• Familiar with Big Data frameworks and visualisation tools (BigQuery, Tableau)
• Loves to solve math puzzles
